Public Sector Tender Assist - David HatmilDavid Hatmil – Director, Tender Assist Limited

David was born and educated in South London. In 1972 he was accepted into New Scotland Yard as a Civilian Fingerprint Officer. He gained his expertise and was instrumental in solving several crimes during his ten-year tenure.

In 1982 David moved into the world of security and worked for ASDA stores starting as a uniformed security officer graduating to a Regional Security Manager covering London and East Anglia. In 1990, he was headhunted to the position of Head of Security for Budgen’s retail stores where he had full responsibility for security and loss prevention.

From 1993, David’s employment in managerial roles continued within the retail and security sectors (Nurdin & Peacock, Sainsbury’s, Chargecrest, ICTS and Sword).

2003 saw the start of David’s increasing involvement in Public Sector tendering. Then after seven years of skills learning and development, the inspiration came to form Tender Assist. It became obvious that the tendering process required dedicated time and expertise.

Since the start of Tender Assist, David has helped many companies of different sizes to bid for a variety of public sector contracts and to develop their bid strategies. This involves much more than simply completing paperwork.

Away from work, David lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and business partner Helen. He enjoys golf, gardening, music, media and current affairs.
